On June 10, 2023, a session of the General Council of the International Trade Unions Confederation was held in Geneva, Switzerland, in which Irakli Petriashvili, the Chairman of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation and the President of the Pan-European Regional Council of the International Trade Unions Confederation, participated.
At the meeting of the General Council, the steps to be taken to strengthen International Trade Unions Confederation were discussed, as well as future measures were planned and the positions were agreed: regarding the issues of Ukraine, Belarus and protection of the rights of employees to be presented at the 111th Labor Conference of the International Labor Organization, which is attended by members and delegations of the General Council (trade unions, government, employers) including the delegation of Georgian Trade Unions led by Irakli Petriashvili.
Within the framework of the visit, meetings are planned with the Director General of the International Labour Organization, Gilbert Houngbo, and the Director of ILO-ACTRAV, Maria Helena Andres.
