Meeting of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Pan-European Regional Council of International Trade Unions (PERC) was held on 15-16 October in Armenia. The main topic of the conference was the wage policy and goals in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
At the meeting, an economic analyst Giorgi Chanturidze, representative of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation delivered a speech on the situation of Georgia in terms of wages and economic policies and the status of labor rights in the country.
Following issues were discussed at the conference: international labor standards in terms of minimum wages and negotiation on salaries; Declaration of Multinational Enterprises of the International Labor Organization (MNE declaration); Productivity and competition in determining payroll policies and other issues.
