Many years struggling of Georgian Trade Unions Confederation Georgia was obtained by the Office for Central and West of the ILO.
As a result of the long-term struggle of Georgian Trade Unions Confederation Georgia was subordinated to the Central and Western Office of the International Labour Organization located in Budapest.
The director of the Budapest office of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Claire Harast, visited Georgia for the first time with the delegation. The main purpose of the visit is to plan the decent work program in Georgia. Individual and subsequent joint tripartite consultations between the parties were held on November 20-21. As a result of joint work, priority issues of the work plan were listed as: development of social dialogue and support at all levels, minimum wage, unemployment insurance, women and youth, professional education, formalization of employment, social contract, etc. Work on directions.
The parties expressed their desire for Georgia to continue active cooperation with the regional office of the ILO. A number of important activities are planned, among them, from the point of view of sharing the best European experience.
