DMT Group will examine the working conditions of Tkibuli mines

The working conditions of Tkibuli mines will be examined by a German company DMT group. The decision was unanimously upheld during a session of tripartite commission. The selection criteria were determined under predefined Technical Regulation.

A company with 140 years of experience will work with Georgian colleagues in the course of 5 weeks. The organization unites more than 75 experts of international level accredited in relevant fields.

The aim of forensic examination is determination of the expediency of conducting the operations at the mine and examination of relevant sites with regard to work safety.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Health, the work on the contract to be signed with the company will commence as of today. The report to be created by the company will include the assessment on whether or not it is feasible to implement complete work safety standards at the site, as well as financial and human resources related to implementing them.

The project will be funded from state budget. The allocated financial resources approximately amount 50,000 Euros.

The session was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Tripartite Commission Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, the Chairman of Trade Union confederation Irakli Petriashvili, the head of the Employers Association Elguja Meladze, Deputy Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Alexander Tevzadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze and the First Deputy Minister of Justice Mikheil Sarjveladze.
