On April 25, meeting of trade unions, management of Agara sugar factory and the Business Ombudsman of Georgia has ended with an agreement to launch rehabilitation works at Agara factory from May 1, 2018.
Workers who will be employed on those works will receive a full-scale salary, others will be provided with prepayment in a scope of a half-wage until completing the renovation activities that are anticipated to finalize in one month period.
The agreement will be in effect until December 31. By the end of the year, the owner should provide the parties with long-term plan regarding uninterrupted and full-load operation of the plant.
