A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation and the Georgian Mediators Association. The purpose of the memorandum is cooperation between the parties for the introduction and popularization of mediation as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism in Georgia, for the timely and effective resolution of disputes.

Mediation is a tool when the parties can reach a mutually acceptable agreement on disputed issues without the involvement of a mediator.
Labor dispute mediation is of particular importance, as protracted litigation inflicts both parties. Mediation in individual labor disputes is an innovetion for Georgia and is now being formed in our country. It should be noted that during the pandemic, increased demand for labor issues at the request of employees ,therefore, our cooperation with the Georgian Mediators Association is especially important for the timely and effective resolution of disputes.
